 Knockout Rust® KO-66 is a rust proofing / penetrating product developed by Graeme Ferguson for the prevention of oxidisation, as well as to stop the spread of minor outbreaks of rust that have already occurred. Rust is an age old problem that has caused the down-fall of projects great & small, along with much financial heartache ever since man began using ferric metals for tools, buildings, chariots, etc. The idea of KO-66 was formed from the use of black-jack (tar) as a protector of wire ropes and heavy machinery in the construction industry. Graeme spent his younger years in the Royal Australian Navy, then moving into marine construction where he spent most of his working years. Some of the projects Graeme has been involved in are Sydney's Opera House, Melbourne's West Gate Bridge, Bass Strait Oil, off shore coal loading facilities in North Queensland, numerous draglines in the QLD coal fields, and later also forming a crane hire business. This background gave Graeme a good working knowledge of lubricants and protective coatings used in the marine, mining and construction industries. Now Graeme has brought this know-how together developing this unique product that not only protects from rust with its bituminous base, but having several different penetrators allows KO-66 to get right to the core of an oxidisation problem, preventing the spread of the rust. In cases where minor rust has already started its dirty work, KO-66 has the ability to penetrate and stop its spread, leaving its penetrating contents to halt further spread, while the bituminous base insures the product stays in place and a wax content seals off the treated area. |
