 For lasting durability a bituminous base was chosen for KO-66. Bitumen being the product used by mining, construction and marine companies for long term protection against corrosion and deterioration of their valuable equipment that is left exposed to the weather, sometimes for years at a time. Because of its long lasting qualities, KO-66 is ideal for those hard to get at places - like the insides of lower door panels, inside sills and pillars, sub-frames, under the mudguards of you car, exposed portions of boat trailers, farm implements, wire ropes, construction and mining gear etc. Basically anything that is exposed to the elements and may have tendencies to rust or corrode. When using KO-66 under car mudguards (or similar conditions of wear), further coatings may be required depending on abrasions and off road usage.
